Distinguished Lieutenant Governor Francois Lawrence Announces Plans to Establish Key Club

Montego Bay, Jamaica – The Kiwanis Club of Montego Central partnered with acclaimed reggae artiste Hezron for an impactful stop on the “Save the Children School Tour”, hosted at Saint James High School on February 12, 2026.

The event was held in collaboration with Rotary International, strengthening inter-service cooperation and expanding the reach of youth-focused initiatives.

Proud sponsors of the initiative included Tad’s Record and Children for Change.

Students were inspired by Hezron’s dynamic acoustic performance of his songs “Holding On,” “Man on a Mission,” and “Save the Children.” Each selection carried a powerful message of perseverance, faith, responsibility, and hope. Through music and motivational dialogue, Hezron encouraged students to remain focused on their education, resist negative influences, and pursue their dreams with confidence.

As part of the initiative, the Kiwanis Club treated the children to breakfast, demonstrating its commitment to supporting both the physical well-being and holistic development of Jamaica’s youth.

The Kiwanis Club of Montego Central meets at Saint James High School on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month and welcomes individuals interested in community service and youth leadership.
