Accra, Sept 9, GNA; Madam Cynthia Raymond, the CEO of Lynnex Ventures, has called for more support and opportunities for underprivileged children.
She made this call during the launch of the Save the Children campaign, which is being spearheaded by Lynnex Ventures in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP).
Speaking at the launch in Accra, Madam Raymond said the campaign aims to create a platform to provide basic and significant needs of underprivileged children.
She stated that this project was developed out of deep humanitarian concern, thus addressing issues of poverty, homelessness, hunger, sanitation, and education challenges.
I am willing to navigate through the challenges that will come in executing this project. It is a call to action for myself and the team to brighten the future of these young underprivileged ones.
I want to contribute and be a positive agent for change and be part of solving the increasing problems of vulnerable children, said Madam Cynthia Raymond.
She added that her vision was to reach many children across the globe and would partner with various governmental agencies, stakeholders and private entities in pushing forward children.
Madam Eugenia Dadson, a representative from the Department of Children at the MGCSP, said it was vital for the citizenry to support vulnerable children to aid governmental efforts.
She noted the initiative taken by Lynnex Ventures was in the right direction and that the MGCSP would support the initiative to make it successful.
The Lynnex Ventures initiative dubbed Save the Children has already taken steps to support some children, having made donations to the Nyame Ye Orphanage and Grace Foundation.
